SEO for UK Businesses, Priced and Reported in Pounds

The UK is where most of our search record was built. Twelve years of campaigns across London, the home counties and the rest of the country — fintech, professional services, e-commerce and local firms — run as one connected service rather than technical, content and links sold separately.

What the UK is actually searching for

We can be unusually specific about UK search demand, because we have been measuring our own. Over the twelve months to 11 August 2026 our Search Console recorded 50,541 impressions across 26 URLs, and the pages carrying almost all of it were UK-targeted. Here is where that visibility actually sat.

  • London agency and audit queries35,001 impressions · 68% of all visibility
  • Platform SEO — WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix7,364 impressions · four separate query groups
  • Site migration SEO2,577 impressions · high urgency, high value
  • Fintech and financial services2,752 impressions · our strongest vertical
  • SEO copywriting and technical SEO573 impressions · specialist, high intent
  • SEO training524 impressions · a distinct audience, not a client one

Our own Google Search Console data, page level, for the twelve months to 11 August 2026. We publish it because it is verifiable and because most agencies asking you to trust them with your search data will not show you theirs.

Straight Talk

The UK market is mature, crowded and agency-heavy

UK search results are among the most contested anywhere. Most commercial queries already have established brands, comparison sites and long-standing agency-run competitors holding page one, and the agency market itself is dense enough that “we do SEO” is not a proposition. Winning here generally means earning genuine authority rather than out-publishing anyone.

Two things about UK search behaviour matter more than they do elsewhere. The first is that British searchers attach a location to commercial queries far more often than American ones do — city, county and even borough terms carry real volume, which makes local targeting a strategy rather than an afterthought. The second is that UK buyers tend to shortlist quietly: they read three or four sites without contacting any of them, so the page has to survive being compared rather than merely being found.

There is a structural opportunity in that. A great many UK incumbents rank on domain age, and their pages do not answer the query especially well. Specificity beats them reliably. A page written for a defined audience, in a defined place, about a defined problem competes with a handful of pages instead of a few thousand.

  • Location is part of the query — city and county terms carry real UK volume; national-only targeting leaves money on the table.
  • Buyers shortlist in silence — your page is compared before you ever hear from anyone, so trust signals do conversion work.
  • Authority beats volume — out-publishing an established UK competitor rarely works; being more specific than them usually does.
  • Regulated sectors reward substance — in finance, health and legal, what you are allowed to claim is limited — which favours real expertise.
  • GBP throughout — quoted, invoiced and reported in pounds, with UK working hours on calls and replies.
The Palace of Westminster and Big Ben under an overcast sky

The UK is not a hard market because everyone is doing SEO well. It is hard because a lot of well-known brands rank on age alone, and outranking a brand needs a better answer rather than a louder one.

Coverage

Where our UK work concentrates

The work is remote, so there is no travel constraint and no region we cannot take on. These are simply the markets that come up most, and what each one tends to demand.

London

By far the largest share of our UK record — and the most competitive search market in the country. It has its own page below.

Manchester & the North West

A dense SME and tech market with noticeably less agency saturation than London, which makes head terms genuinely winnable.

Birmingham & the Midlands

Manufacturing, logistics and professional services. Under-optimised competitors are common, so technical work moves the needle fast.

Home counties & the South East

High-value local-service businesses where the map pack, not the organic listing, usually decides the enquiry.

Scotland

A distinct market with its own competitor set; Edinburgh and Glasgow queries behave nothing like their English equivalents.

National, non-local

Plenty of UK businesses sell everywhere and should not be chasing city terms at all. We will say so if that is you.

Who We Work With

The sectors that dominate the UK search

Sector shapes the strategy more than geography does. These are the UK verticals where we have the most history.

Fintech & Financial Services

Our strongest UK vertical. Tap Global, Husky Finance and Strabo are all clients, and we ran dedicated fintech and financial-services SEO for years. It is a sector where compliance limits the claims you can make, so rankings have to be earned on substance.

Professional & Legal Services

Consultancies, compliance and certification firms selling expertise rather than products. Authority content and visible authorship do more than keyword work ever will.

E-commerce & Retail

Category and product-page SEO built around buyer intent, with the technical side — faceted navigation, indexation, page speed — handled properly, because at scale that is usually what is actually wrong.

Property & Real Estate

Hyper-local by nature. Agents and developers compete on town, postcode and development name, which is one of the few cases where location pages genuinely earn their place.

Healthcare & Clinics

Private practice and clinics, where Google applies its strictest trust thresholds and content has to be attributable to a qualified person.

SaaS & Technology

Keyword-to-funnel mapping for demos and trials, and technical SEO that survives a product team shipping weekly.

— Our Proprietary Methodology —

The Visibility Framework™, applied in the UK

The method doesn’t change by market. What it’s pointed at does.

Step 01

Visibility Score™

We baseline your rankings, technical health and AI-answer visibility against the businesses that actually outrank you in the UK — not a national average.

Step 02

Custom Strategy

A keyword and content roadmap scoped to your niche and budget — which pages to fix, which to build, and which terms are worth the money here.

Step 03

Execution

Senior strategists implement technical fixes, content and links as one roadmap — no juniors, no outsourcing, no handoffs between departments.

Step 04

Track & Improve™

Monthly reporting and continuous optimization — we re-test what’s working, cut what isn’t, and adjust as the market moves.

Honest, No-Nonsense Commitment

No one controls Google or AI search — so we'll never guarantee a #1 ranking. What we do guarantee: if your visibility score doesn't improve within 90 days, we keep working at no extra cost until it does.

What you’re actually committing to

Most agencies keep this in a contract you only see after the sales call. We would rather you knew now, because it is the question everyone asks second — right after the price.

  • A 3-month initial term, then month to monthLong enough for the 90-day guarantee above to mean something, short enough that you are not trapped if it doesn’t work out. The wider industry standard is 6 to 12 months.
  • 30 days’ notice to stopNo exit fee and no buy-out of the months you haven’t used. You leave when you decide to, not when the contract lets you.
  • No setup or onboarding feeThe audit is free, and month one costs exactly what month two costs. Nothing is front-loaded.
  • You own everythingAnalytics, Search Console, content, accounts and any tooling set up for you — all in your name from day one, and all still yours if we part ways.
  • One fixed monthly feeAnything outside the agreed scope is quoted and approved by you before it starts. It never appears on an invoice as a surprise.
  • Reporting written to be readWhat changed, what it moved and what is next — in plain English, at the cadence set out in your plan, not a 40-page export nobody opens.

These are the terms as they appear in the agreement itself — nothing here is softened for the website. The full wording lives in our terms and conditions, and you get the agreement to read before anything is signed or invoiced.

No Pretending

Where we actually are — and what that changes

Our head office is in Karachi. The UK side of the business is people and working hours rather than premises, and we would rather you read that here than discover it later.

It changes exactly one thing. Organic rankings are unaffected — Google does not rank your website higher because your agency has a UK postcode; what ranks is your site, your content and your links. The map pack is different: a Google Business Profile requires a genuine address in the area it serves, so that profile has to be registered to you. We optimise yours as part of the work. Any agency implying it can substitute its own is describing a policy violation.

Everything else runs on UK time: calls in your time zone, replies during your working day, invoices and reporting in pounds, and a named senior strategist rather than an account manager relaying someone else’s notes.

  • UK working hours. Calls, replies and reporting on UK time — not answered overnight.
  • Quoted and invoiced in GBP. No exchange-rate surprises at the bottom of an invoice.
  • Your Google Business Profile, not ours. We optimise the profile registered to your address. That is the only legitimate way to do map-pack work.
  • A named senior strategist. The person on the first call is the person doing the work.
  • No inflated office count. One head office, stated plainly, rather than a list of cities we have never had a desk in.

the UK SEO questions, answered

Do you have a UK office? +
No. Our head office is in Karachi and the UK presence is people and working hours rather than premises. It affects one thing only: the Google map pack needs a genuine local address, so that profile has to be registered to you rather than to us. Organic rankings are unaffected — what ranks is your website, not your agency’s postcode.
Our plans run £200–£400/mo for a single-site Starter engagement, £650–£1,600/mo for Growth, and £1,600+/mo for multi-location or high-competition brands. That sits below much of the UK market, which is a function of running a small senior team rather than of thinner work. Your actual number depends on your competitors and your site’s technical debt, which is what the free audit establishes.
All of them — the work is remote, so there is no travel constraint. In practice most of our UK record is London, followed by Manchester and the North West, Birmingham and the Midlands, the home counties and the South East, and Scotland. London has its own page; the others are covered from here until they justify their own.
Yes. Calls, replies and reporting run on UK time. You are not waiting overnight for an answer, and you are not being asked to take a call at nine in the evening.
No. There is a 3-month initial term, then it runs month to month with 30 days’ notice to stop — no exit fee and no buy-out of months you have not used. Three months exists because that is the period our 90-day guarantee is measured over, so it is the shortest term in which the guarantee means anything. Much of the UK market asks for six to twelve months up front.
Yes, and it is common. We start with an audit of what has actually been done rather than what the reports claim, nothing changes on your site until you say so, and if the honest conclusion is that your current agency is doing sound work and the timeline was simply oversold, we will tell you that instead of taking the account.
Yes. It is a different job from UK SEO rather than a bigger version of it — separate keyword research per market, hreflang and targeting set up properly, and local competitor analysis in each country rather than one strategy stretched across several. We run the same work in the USA and Pakistan, so multi-market campaigns are not unfamiliar territory.
Technical issues (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals), keyword gaps measured against the businesses actually outranking you rather than a national average, content opportunities, a backlink profile review, and an AI-search readiness check. No obligation, no templated report, and it is yours to keep and act on with anyone.
