The problem they came with

A build from nothing. No site, no rankings, no content — which sounds easy and is the case most often got wrong, because a new site is where every future SEO problem is either avoided or baked in permanently.

The usual sequence is to design first, build second and hand the finished thing to an SEO afterwards. By then the URL structure is set, the content architecture is set, and fixing either costs redirects.

What we did

   Sitemap and URL structure agreed before any design

   Moving a page after launch costs a redirect and some of its authority. Deciding the structure first costs an afternoon.

   Content written for real queries, not filled in later

   Pages shipped with the copy they were going to keep, rather than placeholder text and a promise.

   Performance treated as a build requirement

   Image sizing, font loading and layout stability handled during the build. Retrofitting Core Web Vitals is several times the work.

   Schema and heading structure from the first template

   So the site was legible to Google on day one instead of after a later audit found it was not.

What happened

Live, indexed and converting, with a 0.9s Largest Contentful Paint on a build where nothing had to be undone afterwards. The verifiable part is the easy part: anyone can run the live site through PageSpeed Insights and see the number for themselves.

What was hard

A six-week build always slips somewhere. Content sign-off took the extra fortnight, which is normal, and which we now quote for rather than pretend away.
